It is one of the hot tickets of the year. The Celebration Foundation Concert Series, featuring the Vienna Boys Choir and other talented artists, is creating quite the stir. By the time you read this, in the December issue, our Series Tickets will probably be sold out. We limit the number of Series Tickets we sell to ensure seating in the center of the church. Every seat is a good seat at Community Presbyterian, but Series Ticket holders appreciate knowing there is a section reserved for them. Concert Sponsors, depending on sponsorship level, have individually reserved seats.
While Series Tickets have been scooped up, individual tickets for each concert are available…unless they also sell out.
The Celebration Foundation’s first concert of the 2018-2019 Concert Series is just around the corner.
The Brass Band of Central Florida, under the music direction of Professor Gareth Pritchard, features Central Florida’s finest brass and percussion musicians performing in the British brass band style with a uniquely American twist. Their goal is to promote British brass band style and sound and to help preserve the long, colorful history of its music. Their Holiday Concert, scheduled for Friday, December 7 at 7:30 is always a favorite and is sure to get everyone in the holiday mood.
The second concert of the series is Bumper Jacksons, a contemporary swing band. Think “roadhouse drinking songs with hard-swinging grooves and waltzes of loss and regret.” They will be performing on Sunday, January 20 at 7:00pm.
The Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras will be performing on Saturday, February 9 and our second concert in February on Saturday, February 23 at 7:30 is the Vienna Boys Choir, renowned as one of the finest vocal ensembles in the world.
On March 16, we will enjoy Celebration resident and violin artist Gary Lovini who will play a concert featuring international music with an Irish flair.
We wrap up the Concert Series with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Eric Jacobsen performing Mendelsohn’s Italian Symphony on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30.
All performances will be held at the Community Presbyterian Church (511 Celebration Avenue). Tickets vary from $25 to $40 per person, per concert. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting www.CelebrationFoundation.org or the Celebration Foundation’s office (610 Sycamore Street, Suite 110 in Celebration). Tickets will be available at the door of each show, if the show has not sold out.
