Session #1 – February 13, 20, 27
Thursday, 10:45 am – 12:00 noon

Henry Plant was determined to have his trains running to his ports on the west coast of Florida, not just for carrying goods from his steamships but to bring people to his Tampa Bay Hotel built in 1891 (and now a museum and part of Tampa University). Henry Flagler, a friendly competitor, was just as determined, building railroads and hotels along the east coast of FL, down to Key West.  Henry Ford wasn’t interested in trains but the automobile; he may not have invented it but he designed & manufactured the first automobile that Americans could afford. Learn how the 3 Henrys made a difference to Florida.
