Yoga is growing in popularity, especially among those over 50 years of age, because it works! Yoga helps maintain health and improves functional ability so you can live your best life. We’ll explore yoga philosophy as well as yogic tools to help with stress and anxiety, insomnia, brain health, balance, hypertension, flexibility, strength and creating comfort in the body, especially the hips and back, as well as yoga for the lymphatic system. This session includes lecture, demonstration and participation. If you are breathing, YOU CAN DO YOGA! This is not a yoga class, but we will do some movement. Dress comfortably and wear shoes you can easily take off. Each class will end with savasana; you may want to bring a yoga mat and a blanket or towel as the room can get chilly.


Donna Mogilski

Donna is a RYT 200, with additional certifications in Lakshmi Volker Chair Yoga, Lymphatic Yoga® and Restorative Yoga. In the 1980’s she created Mom-me-cise Prenatal Fitness and worked on the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology guidelines for exercise during pregnancy. Her studies have included anatomy, physiology, relaxation|meditation, Feldenkrais, Integrative Positional Therapy as well as certifications in low impact aerobics, Step and Aqua Aerobics. She sold Mom-me-cise and began practicing Yoga in 2000 to increase flexibility and reduce stress. She continues to study yoga and is excited to teach and share her passion for yoga with others.
