Miss Nelson is the nicest teacher in the whole school. She never yells, and she gives the easiest assignments. Then one day Miss Nelson is not at school. There is a substitute, Miss Viola Swamp, who immediately lays down the law – no talking, no goofing off in class – and gives lots of homework. Where is the wonderful, unappreciated Miss Nelson? Is she ever coming back? Come find out with the Celebration Foundation!
We are taking a mother daughter trip to Orlando Shakes on Saturday, October 26 to see the play Miss Nelson is Missing. Lunch will be served beforehand, and there will be an opportunity for a meet and greet with the actors after. Limited transportation will be provided for an additional fee. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to support Celebration Foundation’s Women’s Initiative Nurturing Girls’ Strength (WINGS) program.
This trip is encouraged for K-3rd graders and their parents/guardians. Boxed deli lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. in the Rotunda Room at Orlando Shakes. The play begins at 2 p.m. and the meet and greet is scheduled for 3 p.m.
If you choose the transportation option, we will meet at the Celebration Foundation office located at 610 Sycamore Street (parking lot side) at 11:15 a.m. We depart Orlando Shakes at 3:30 p.m., so we will be back at the Celebration Foundation office by 4:30 p.m.
