SUMMARY:Brass Band Holiday Concert
DESCRIPTION:Under the music direction of Gareth Pritchard\, the BBCF features Central Florida’s finest brass and percussion musicians\, performing in the British Brass Band style with traditional British Brass Band instrumentation. BBCF has an active  performance schedule of concerts\, outreach programs and competitions throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. \nThe Brass Band of Central Florida is very fortunate to perform two separate programs each year at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church as part of the prestigious St. Luke’s Concert series\, which also features other groups such as the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra\, UCF Symphony Orchestra and Orlando Concert Band. The Band has also performed regularly at the Winter Park Arts Festival and the Celebration Foundation Concert Series. Many students from Orange\, Seminole and Volusia Counties\, plus UCF and Stetson Universities have benefitted from the Band’s outreach programs and are now full-time members of the Band. \nBBCF has competed regularly in the Championship Section of the North American Brass Band Championships (NABBA) and the US Open\, winning NABBA in 2005 and the US Open on 4 occasions. \nThey have also appeared once at the British Open Brass Band Championships and three times at the Brass in Concert Championship\, gaining 2nd Prize in 2011.
